Hello everyone!! It’s the BLACKMAGIC report from Japan 
Jose James’ BLACKMAGIC tour has started and I am happy to say that the first stop was Japan! He made 2 stops – Osaka and Tokyo – 2 major cities in Japan, and he did 8 shows. I saw all 8 and have to say, I enjoyed every single set from the first day to the last!! After every song, I’d wait and look forward to hearing which song the band was gonna perform next because the set list was always different! Jose and his band delivered a totally new level of music of Jose James! And it was well received!! He had to sign autographs for many, many fans after the show everyday and the instore event at Tower Records in Shinjuku welcomed more than 200 people for him to perform 3 songs!!!

I say he is JAZZ! I mean his music is very eclectic but the way he carries himself on stage is JAZZ!!! You will enjoy the trio as well as the lovely duets of Jose and Jordana!
On the radio, in shops, and at clubs, Jose was playing everywhere in Tokyo!

Hi from Portugal!
Tomorrow he is gonna perform at Lisbon, my city and preciasly at my job, Museum of Orient:).
I’m realy looking forward to see him and perhaps meet him!
The venue it’s almost sold out!!!
He has been in Portugal for a few days, touring in other cities, but I haven’t erad anything about the shows.

What a follow-up! The man is out on his own now. His contemporary soul and jazz vocalists have got some catching up to do. ‘No Tellin’ (I Need You)’ and ‘The Light’ have got me. Congratulations on a work of aural art!
