This Saturday 19th November at Electric Brixton Gilles Peterson celebrates the release of the latest instalment in his Havana Cultura album series, recruiting none other than Masters At Work legend Louie Vega to headline the DJ bill. Louie will be spinning a special Nuyorican Soul set not heard in the UK for many years! What’s more, Gilles is importing an all-star Cuban live band featuring Roberto Carcasses, Danay Suarez, Osdalgia, Alexey (El Tipo Este) from Obsesion, Edrey from Ogguere and Julito Padron to inject some authentic Latin flavour and raw Cuban rhythms.
It’s the first time that Gilles and Louie have played together in years and in honour of the occasion, Louie has pieced together a special Nuyorican Soul x Havana Cultura DJ mix to set the vibe up right. Check it!
