Had to holla, as I thought this years WW was off the hook. My eyes were truly opened to the talent of Michael Kiwanuka, I felt extremely privileged to see him and his band live. LeFto and Kutmah are also now firmly on my radar, their mixing and tune bending creating exquisite, yes i said exquisite soundscapes. Watching Sbtrakt and Thundercat it was obvious to all that these guys are serious craftsmen and put their heart and soul into every note. The sound in KOKO and atmosphere this year was perfect. A great evening only marred by the fact that I had to leave before Bad Bad Not Good. I can only imagine that they were the the cherry on top.
