MENU appelsap

August 4, 2009

Just got back from a wonderful week in Asia and here I am, in Amsterdam for my boys’ outside mini festival in the park called Appelsap. We’re sunday (August 2nd) and the weather looks good for this outdoor free event.
A big line-up with good locals heroes as DJ SP, Edzon and Lil’ Vic, dutch acts Zwart Licht and Hef and foreigners Pharoahe Monch, Benji B, Theophilus London and myself. Good to see familiar faces down there, it’s actually all family backstage; Sabac Red of Non-Phixion, homeboy Jonathan came down with Nickodemus, the Patta crew and of course the Appletree Records family. It started quite late though, the place was crowded at 4pm but too static for me, of course it’s sunday. So I went on right before Theophilus London, I think I like his stuff… he has a new mixtape out now. Benji-B came on with some Benga dubstep bangers and Slum Village music (RIP Baatin); Dutch group Zwart Licht came on stage, the place was on fire and ready for Pharoahe. Here’s a little video:
