Erykah is still the Queen!

So… mixed feelings about last nights show.

Have to start of by saying that Simbad, The bPm and Gilles did a great job warming up. I was singing along, shaking my booty and was generally in a really good mood and very excited about seeing Erykah again. Then, as more and more people started showing up, it some how got too crowded, too hot, people were spilling drinks all over the place, pushing and being quite rude. It made me think of the last time I saw Erykah, which was a couple of years ago in Copenhagen. Peoples attitudes in Copenhagen were completely different from the London crowds, and some how the crowds positive attitude in Copenhagen really helped to raise the whole atmosphere and spirit of the event. Oh well, I might have been standing on the wrong side of the venue, the rude peoples side, which is a shame, because I couldn’t enjoy the show fully.

However, there were some golden moments when the crowd let me be and I could get into the music, and those moments were magical. For me personally, Erykah Badu is the Queen, the sickest and slickest female artist on this planet, not just on record but when she is performing as well. And last night she really proved why she is the best. She looked hot, her performance was amazing, and she kept it real, playing a mix of both new and old songs, which I enjoyed. I even got goosebumps when they started playing “Didn’t Cha Know”…

Don’t know if any of you guys were there, but if so, feel free to leave a comment and tell me what you thought about the show.
