We’re continuing the countdown of the albums that have shaped Gilles Peterson so far, only this week, we’ve decided to countdown from 200!

The album this week is Simple Things by Zero 7. Released in 2001, this is Zero 7′s debut studio album. Featuring vocals from Sia Furler, Terry Callier, Mozez and Sophie Barker. This album, from Zero 7′s Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker, two guys who started out as studio engineers was well received, fully merited to their composition of cinematic dreamscapes, melancholic vocal arrangements and the abundance of classically simple.
