Show#447 by Leftooo on Mixcloud

Monday morning, freshly posted mix on the cloud for your pleasure. Show#447 starts with the Vijay Iyer Trio, the classic “Mystic Brew” track is taken from the acclaimed “Historicity” album from 2009, it’s probably a good introduction to Vijay Iyer‘s work (great composer-pianist) as he recently released another album called “Solo”.  Kan Sano comes with “Elements Of Notice”, a beat featured on the new Cosmopolyphonic compilation due for this week.  Another good producer is Nottz, from the US, the man is back with a good album entitled “You Need This Music”.  John Legend & The Roots’ album “Wake Up” is definitely a great collabo and when they asked Pete Rock & CL Smooth to join the team for a remake of “Straighten it Out” it becomes magic.

Uphigh Collective is a Belgian collective making moves on a local scale, they are great producers and have a very good singer by the name of Delv!s.  “Xploding Happiness” is still a demo but even the demo is worth the play.  Groove Merchant, the famous recordstore in San Francisco has celebrated its 20th anniversary with a compilation on Ubiquity Recordings.  The result is really funky and features this nice song by Soul Liberation “Who Is Your Friend”, need to check the compilation out y’all.  I mixed that into some dubstep by Silkie, “80′s Baby” on Deep Medi, and some greatness by Kalbata.

Darkstar is out with a wonderful album on Hyperdub called “North”, I like the album very much.  Jamie Woon is back on the show, this time in it’s original version, deep track.  I also gave Ghostpoet a spin, “Cash & Carry Me Home” as he will be part of the Brownswood Labelnight in Leuven, Belgium on November 10th.  Another artist I really dig at the moment is Mosca, and when he remixes T.Williams’ “Heartbeat” it’s an instant classic, the man is a genius. Zed Bias aka Maddslinky with a very latin vibe on “Matt’s Mood” and the same goes for Cut Chemist on “Povo De Santo”.

Brownswood Bubblers Six is about to come out and Javelin’s “Intervalos Theme” is on there, the compilation is really excellent, I recommend you to buy it eyes closed.  Paying tribute to Guru with Miguel Atwood-Ferguson & Aloe Blacc, “Deliver The World”.  Some uptempo gems by Cee-Lo, which album is set to come out but I rather listen to his “Stray Bullets Mixtape” instead. Michel Cleis banging remix of Gotan Projects’ “Panamericana” and a banger by Brandt Brauer Frick, trio from Germany reminding me of Henrik Schwarz’ works.

Hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did…
