MISHKA Spring Collection 2011 ft. Neon Indian, CREEP & more

Residing from a part of the world where four seasons feel more or less the same, our wardrobes may not differ all that as spring creeps up on us. Yet Mishka’s new spring collections so hot it might just get us peeling off a few layers this year. Even before the look book came out, the intriguing teaser clip got all garment heads excited for the collection. Directed by Matthew Caron aka The Vidiot, the clips features a whole range of musicians from greater NY that represents the New York based street wear brand.
[vimeo][/vimeo]Mishka has habitually been putting out fresh garments for a little while now, often using music as a medium through fashion. Aside from putting out records and T-Shirts for Mad Decent and Dub Police, these lot have had an endless list of super cool musicians reppin’ their brand. This spring season collection has just been release stateside accompanied by a fresh look book shot by fashion photographer Marley Kate. The look book features a bunch of Mishkas’ friends and associates, with the likes of Neon Indian, The Death Set, Das Racist, CREEP, Trouble & Bass and more. It’s evident the Mishka team don’t get segregated by genre classifications as they were built on eclecticism and the support of a variety of artists.
Clothing wise, you’ll see a bunch of fantastically illustrated graphic tees, multi colour flannel button ups and branded Snap Back. In particular, check out the D.A.R.T Swarm Windbreaker and DMAC Crew Neck sported by AraabMuzik, these fresh light weight outerwear are perfect for the spring outdoor season.
The line won’t be released in the UK until a couple of weeks, but when it does expect to grab the collection at your local Mishka stocklist, including the likes of Wellgosh, 5 Pointz and Wood. Check the rest of the look book here.
