My Town // Hiatus Kaiyote Present Melbourne
January 3, 2013
“My Town” is a brand new feature wherein friends and family from around the world give us the lowdown on their home town – favourite bars, restaurants, record shops and more. Forget Time Out – this is the only city guide you need.
Next up is Melbourne based Hiatus Kaiyote, locals who couldn’t be in a better position to shed light on the lesser known spots in Victoria’s capital city.
Hiatus Kaiyote are the band of the moment, garnering praise and support from GP and Erykah Badu. Their track ‘Nakamarra’ also features on Brownswood Bubblers 9. Read more about the 7 piece band here. Nai Palm, the lead singer, will also be performing at this year’s Worldwide Awards (click for line up and info), which takes place at London’s Koko in Camden on 19th January. Cop tickets here!
