Worldwide Awards // Updated Line-up

November 22, 2016

Following the first line-up taster; that genuine one-off seminal grime-MC, Trim confirmed alongside the recent Ninja Tune signing Sarathy Korwar – the percussionist, drummer and producer fusing traditional folk music of the Sidi community in India, with jazz and electronics. Topped off by the musical stylings of some of London’s most exciting young instrumentalist in the shape of Ezra Collective .

Now here we have 3 new big hitters joining the line-up on 21st January.

Previous Chance The Rapper and Mick Jenkins collaborator and female MC of the moment Noname is set to bring the fresh, poignancy of her critically acclaimed project “Telefone” to the Camden Stage.

The ladies continue to come correct – L.A’s Jimetta Rose and her strong vocal stylings will deliver the full spectrum of spritual jazz, hip-hop, soul and funk influences.

And then to mix things up in true Worldwide Awards style, we drop Acid Arab and their fusion of everything “eastern” – from Egypt, to Turkey via Mumbai with wonderfully weird electronics.

More line-up news still to come…
