L.A. Day #1.5

September 17, 2009

Today I chilled with Flying Lotus the whole day. In the hills, nice and quiet neighbourhood, where the genius in Fly Lo comes to life. Right before going to his house I passed by The Record Collector, a recordshop on Melrose. It’s the oldest recordstore in Los Angeles, 35 years old and more than 500.000 records, mostly classical and jazz music but has much more; especially in his 4 other hidden rooms. I had a nice discussion on the industry today with him, 45 minutes, an interesting talk with a old man with musical knowledge. The party of tonite is Low End Theory, a classic event, and blessed I spun there, loved it, what a sound! Chilled with Samiyam, Take and Fly Lo, Ras G was there as well as Nobody. I’d like to thank Daddy Kev for puttin’ me on.. I had a tuff evening fighting jetlag, trying to keep my eyes open as i write…anyway, couldn’t leave you without a video right? Tomorrow San Francisco until saturday morning.
